What's Here:

Note: Surnames in parentheses are the married names of spouses for whom the original name is unknown.

These pages maintained by Allan G. Jost a retired professor from Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University. As you might guess, I am a descendent (a GGGG grandson) of Johann Georg Jost (I fit into the tree here ). I've compiled all of this data, but I don't claim credit for all of the research behind it. Much of the information was obtained from various documents and genealogies at the Public Archives of Nova Scotia. Some was gathered from immediate family, but a great deal of it was provided by my long lost cousin Polli (Jost) Turner of Mount Vernon, Washington.

If you think you're related I'd be happy to hear from you! You can email me at allan.jost@gmail.com.

The data on the associated pages was compiled on a Macintosh computer using Gene 4.3.4 and formatted from a GEDCOM file using ged2html v2.4a.
